Nestled in the midst of one of New Delhi's denser colonies, this extension of a two storey bungalow serves the family of four as an Urban getaway from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
The clients wanted a private cosy space where everyday breakfast meals and evening tea could be served and convert into a party and entertainment zone for friends and family. A study room was added that could serve as a library, reading room and home office.
The extension of the study room was done over a cantilevered steel structure using deck slabs and steel box sections to create a sanctuary and home office.
The Terrace was imagined as a multipurpose space for children to play along with Sunday brunches and winter evening bar-b-ques. Being sandwiched between buildings a lot of buffer spaces were added along with green covers and landscaping for privacy.
